With this Newsflash, we would like to provide you with updates on the Next Generation ETD Contracts initiative.
1. Additional Next Generation ETD products in T7 Release 11.0 Simulation
Following the first activation wave of Next Generation ETD products in February 2022, Eurex will add additional products (wave 2) to the Simulation environment. Specifically, these products will be made available in T7 Simulation in a staggered approach after the start of T7 11.0 Simulation (12 September 2022).
The activation of sub-monthly expiring contracts will take place in the following products:
Activation of sub-monthly expiring contracts – wave 2 (T7 Release 11.0, C7 Release 9.0 and Prisma Release 12.0)

As a reminder, the following products with sub-monthly expiring contracts have already been activated during the 1st activation wave and can already be used to test in T7/C7 Simulation.

To provide regression tests regarding Weekly Options products of the old style, the Weekly Nokia Options products NOA1, NOA2, NOA4, NOA5 were retained and the main options product NOA3 does not contain weekly expiring contracts.
2. Next Generation Readiness Checklist for Trading Participants
Eurex identified the key steps required to achieve readiness by 6 February 2023. To assist our Trading Participants, we have set up a high-level checklist for Trading Participants to support their readiness efforts. Eurex encourages Trading Participants to go through this checklist and evaluate their own readiness.

3. 4th Focus Call on Next Generation ETD Contracts
Eurex Exchange and Eurex Clearing (“Eurex”) invite you to the 4th Focus Call planned for Wednesday, 28 September 2022 regarding the Eurex Next Generation ETD project, which will be introduced on 6 February 2023.
During this Focus Call, we would like to provide our Trading Participants, Clearing Members, Vendors and Buy-Side clients with an update on recent developments, go-live preparations and allow attendees to ask questions via MS Teams.

The market status window is an indication regarding the current technical availability of the trading system. It indicates whether news board messages regarding current technical issues of the trading system have been published or will be published shortly.
Please find further information about incident handling in the Emergency Playbook published on the Eurex webpage under Support --> Emergencies and safeguards. Detailed information about incident communication, market re-opening procedures and best practices for order and trade reconciliation can be found in the chapters 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5, respectively. Concrete information for the respective incident will be published during the incident via newsboard message.
We strongly recommend not to take any decisions based on the indications in the market status window but to always check the production news board for comprehensive information on an incident.
