Overview of functional enhancements
A. Decommissioning of the Download Agent/Processing of Reference Data (short codes and algoIDs) – mandatory change to the API Hub latest by 18 June 2022
The Member Section offers two options to upload reference data (short code and algoID files). One is a manual upload, the other is the Download Agent for automated upload processes. The first option and the Common Upload Engine (CUE) are not affected.
Deutsche Börse has decided to switch off the Download Agent from the Member Section as of 18 June 2022. With the decommissioning of the Download Agent, the automated upload process of reference data (short codes and algoIDs) will change. The Download Agent will be replaced by the API Hub. The new solution enables an easy implementation of automatic uploads for clients.
Trading Participants currently using the Download Agent have to migrate their upload processes from the old solution to the new API Hub in order to ensure the fulfilment of their data provision obligation according to § 72 of the Exchange Rules of Eurex Deutschland.
As of 11 April 2022, the automated upload services "ALGO HFT Upload" for algoIDs and "Client Identification Upload" for short codes to the production and simulation environment will be available via the API Hub and in parallel to the Download Agent. Trading Participants can switch as of 11 April 2022 but have to switch to the API Hub latest by 18 June 2022. The new services will be available in the Member Section via the following path:
Technical Connection > API Hub > ALGO HFT Upload/Client Identification Upload.
To access the API Hub, the permission “Self Service Certificate Admin” is required.
Trading Members need to get familiar with the API Hub service and request the respective permission "Self Service Certificate Admin". To use the APIs, please follow the set-up process as described in the Technical Connection User Guide (chapter 2.5).
Clients can get an overview of the two options of processing short codes and algoIDs here: Automated and manual upload of short codes and algoIDs.
B. Introduction of the Eurex Clearing GUI Certificate Generator
As of Monday, 11 April 2022, a new automated process will be introduced for ordering Eurex Clearing GUI certificates. The new self-service certificate functionality will provide clients the opportunity to directly create and install a certificate for the Eurex Clearing GUI services without the need to wait for a service order process. This is in alignment with the harmonization of the certificate infrastructure. The web-based tool will generate the certificate for clients and can be found in the Member Section under the following path:
Technical Connection > Requests and Configuration > Self Service Certificates > Eurex Clearing GUI.
To access the new service, the permission "Self Service Certificates Admin" is required.
The previous ordering process of certificates for Eurex Clearing GUIs will therefore be obsolete and discontinued. Already existing certificates can still be found in the old application and remain valid until the end of their validity. They can be cancelled there but no longer be renewed or reordered. There is no action required from clients.
C. Decommissioning of the Prisma Migration Tool
The Prisma Migration Tool will be switched off soon. Clients who want to activate "Cross Margining" shall contact their Clearing Key Account Manager or client.services@eurex.com in case of any questions.
In case of technical questions, please contact your Technical Account Manager via your personal VIP number or via: cts@deutsche-boerse.com. For all other questions, please contact: member.section@deutsche-boerse.com.
