T7 Production: Display of the Connection Test Gateways and Market Data Heartbeats status on the Deutsche Börse Service Status webpage

Eurex Circular 003/25 T7 Production: Display of the Connection Test Gateways and Market Data Heartbeats status on the Deutsche Börse Service Status webpage

1.  Introduction

During non-trading hours on weekends, Eurex provides Participants with the opportunity to test their connectivity to the T7 production environment. Following infrastructure maintenance on either the exchange and Participant side, Participants can access Connection Test Gateways and Enhanced Technical Market Data Heartbeats.

  • The Connection Test Gateway processes allow Participants to send an http request to the IP address and port of T7 gateways (both ETI and FIX LF) and receive a response confirming connectivity.
  • The Enhanced Market Data Technical Heartbeat messages are sent with a significantly larger payload and higher frequency allowing Participants to detect CRC errors on market data network connections.

Eurex regularly performs its network, hardware and software maintenance outside of trading hours and as a result, the availability of the Connection Test Gateway processes and Enhanced Market Data Technical Heartbeat messages may be affected.

To provide Participants with more reliable information on the availability of these services, Eurex will provide status information under the “interfaces” tab on the Service status webpage on the Deutsche Börse Group website www.deutsche-boerse.com under the link:

MARKETS & SERVICES > INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY > Service status

from 15 January 2025 onwards.

2.  Required action

No immediate action is required by Participants. Following any infrastructure changes outside of trading hours (e.g. weekends), Participants can refer to the information displayed on the Service status webpage to determine the availability of the Connection Test Gateways and Enhanced Market Data Technical Heartbeats from an exchange perspective.

3.  Details
